VIDEO, SOUND, & MUSIC PRODUCTION
A CENTRAL MONTCO TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM
Our program relies almost exclusively on using industry-standard software from Apple and Adobe used on Apple Macbook Pro computers, which are made to handle the large video and audio files that we work on during class.
These items can be expensive with the computer running as high as $1300 and $200+ per month for the software subscription. Most of the time students can get all of their work done during the class period, but there are always circumstances that get in the way of this. We do have students that would like to or benefit from spending time working from home (extra time to study, an extended illness) so we searched for some FREE resources so you can keep up while you're out of class.
These programs are not replacements for what we use in class, but they have the basic capabilities to work on projects from home and be able to access them when they get back to class. See the list below to read the descriptions and download the programs. Some programs are web-based meaning you can work on any computer and others you need to download and only works from the computer you downloaded it to. Also, these programs will work on both Apple and PC computers.

Splitter.ai allows you to separate music into an individual stream such as vocal, bass, and percussion, and lets you rebalance their individual volumes. This is the simplest way to get multiple tracks from any song. Once you choose a song, artificial intelligence will separate music into stems: vocals, bass, drums, and others. Processing usually takes about 1 minute.
